We have been using a 3D scanner for several months now and patients are loving it! When appropriate, it replaces the need to have an impression (or mould) done of your teeth. It’s faster and much more comfortable for the patient. Please note, there are still certain situations where an impression is the better option.
The digital model is then emailed to a dental lab who then 3D print it. With the 3D print out, your appliance in constructed and delivered. If you wish, you can keep the 3D model of your teeth.
